Peterson's Alaskan Guide Service is a small and intimate wilderness Alaskan float trip operation. Our M.O. is keeping numbers low to allow for a quiet, low impact trip with only 2-4 people in your group. This ensures quality for the present and the future of our pristine Alaskan Rivers. This makes keeping a clean/no trace camp possible. With that, we experience some of the most pristine and remote rivers in the world along with the best trout and salmon fishing in the world.
What We Offer
Our trips begin in one of the many villages of Alaska. After arriving to one of these, we take a bush plane ride to a very remote river to be dropped off for the duration of the trip (usually 5-10 days). After unloading our gear from the plane, we inflate the rafts, load our gear up in the rafts, assemble fishing gear and begin our float, stopping and fishing wherever we like. Many camping spots are predetermined, but it's sure fun to be on a new river and stop and camp whenever you want or see something you like. Our camps consist of nice new tents roomy for 2 guests with cots and the guide stays a small bivy tent.
Whats Unique About Us
Our operation is Alaskan owned and operated. This ensures you an experinced guide with years in the Alaskan widerness. Nate Peterson, Owner and Guide, has a B.A. Degree in Environmental Biology from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Nate's knowledge of Alaska and education helps make our trips more than just about the world class fishing and more about the overall experience. We make sure to take care of the things we can control and the things we can’t control are not a big issue.
When not guiding fisherman, Nate is guiding hunters. This gives our guests an opportunity to sample some of Alaska's delicious Big Game Animals as well as the added experience with Bears.
